On second thoughts maybe I should be the groundsman. Dolphin could mow the lawns and I could clean the boots. I've been called the systems bitch before you know :)

Wow from chairman to groundsman?  How humble of you!  We do need groundsman for sure.  But I just love the idea of you and Dolphin in a box, be it may box office or broadcasting booth......   I think that's what everyone else wanna see too, or just me?    I'm gonna need some second opinions on this..... anyone?  if no one else agree with me, you will get your wish soon enough, Parnell.

Looking at your editorial staff status, how about the Fan-Zine Editor?  Dolphin as your Photographer?  He does post some interesting photos.....  I think that would work out great too.  And you can have your editorial in the magazine, of course....Wink

I agree that Rider deserves something more dignified, but he is the youngest around here AFAIK(16 yrs?).  So that suits him not because he is only capable of just that, but 'Waterman' just doesn't sound right. How about we keep him there until I can find a younger member?  It will be good for building his character for just a few weeks.  Then, maybe I will put him under Sarmat as the Assistant Physical Trainer.  We are gonna build one tough guy out of him, if he isn't already....

Exactly, Kaysaar!  You are the Messi of AE, when he was trying to break through the frontline of Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Deco days.  But whenever we need more speed up front, you will be in for one of the Aussie Twin Towers!  You could be the game breaker when we need one the most.

You are not a Spinard in Boston?  Whole time I thought......    Anyway the championships you won past few years, let's see, between Barca in La Liga and the Champs League, Spain in Euro 08, and Patriots and Celtics, you gonna need more nthan ten fingers.....

Now you can bring that championship good luck charm to rest of us in AE!  We are gonna be unstoppable!

Thanks Panther for writing a reassuring post!

I wasn't too worried myself actually.  I knew you wouldn't take it any other way.  I just took it as a little nitpicking or teasing.....  you know the brotherly love.....  But I had to make sure that you are cool with it.  So thanks again for letting me know that you are.  Perhaps you can start an American Football team or whatever your favorite team sports is.  But i tell ya, with this crowd soccer team is the easiest team to build.  Perhaps Justinian or Byzanntine Emperor can start a Baseball roster or Emperor Barbarossa and Seko can build a Ice Hockey team.... oh who will be on the 'Grind Line'?   Just a thought......

I don't know  about me being a classy guy but I will toast one with you anyway....BeerHandshakeHug

About being on left or right and having our politcal/religious/ethnic differences, it will be almost too cheesy and cliche to say that is what makes AE a richer place.  We all know that.  That's why we are all here.  Where else would you get this kinda learning experience and entertainment same time?   Even those who made me so upset and made me to google away the night for a rebuttal, in the end those are the ones who motivated me to learn more, more than the ones who agreed with me most of the time.   This is how we teach eachother and learn from eachother.  You all are my teachers.  But sometimes we forget because we are so caught up in a debate or some unneccessary personal sttacks.  That's just a cost of the business of learning.  This is just an attempt to show that we are still all in the same team at the end of the day.

I'll raise another one to that!BeerHandshakeHug

Hey Poirot! I think Knights was fixing post counts up, you'll need to re-upload your avatar (as you can see I haven't done mine either)
Quote Left Winger :             Beylerbyi, Charcharodon

Now that's a strong left wing! I suppose these two will be sticking to the line so much they get stuck in the corner, while I'll be drifting to the centre to score the goals?

For my part, sure.  Though considering I have not played a serious game of soccer since 96'/97' and have somewhat forgotten the exact definitons of the positions involved.  Yes.Big smile  Second string fits me fine, better allows for my flash in the pan style of play, then back to the bench to kick back and relax.  I did always enjoy pretending I was playing American football with modified rules, running into other players and stealing the ball, great fun.  (even if they called a foul every... single... timeLOL)  When I think back it seems there was as much if not more time spent arguing over fouls than actually playing.  Is it wrong that the arguments were often as much, if not more, fun than playing?

Great Idea King Kang!

I'd be glad to get away from Parnell for a while, I'm going to be stuck with him all this year night and day you know! I'll stick it out in the box office, let him take his flighty ambitions elsewhere Star

So, the box office really relays the guests towards the main event? Front of house is quite an honour!

Sorry Dawn...  what do we know about cooking?   But I would suggest away from pork for some religious members here.  and also beef too but I don't know if we have any active Hindi members around anymore..... it's not that good for you anyway.  So that leaves lamb and chicken and seafood.....  that still leaves us with many options i think.... some sorta lamb chop or stew would be nice.  chicken would give us more options, just bbq wings to fried chicken or judt drumsticks, i would love any seafood but people can be more picky about that so maybe just cocktail shrimps, but if we wanna go little farther I love roughy!  walleye or blue gill would be great too, maybe ahi tuna....  but we gotta think about the vegetarians and vegans, so we can make a salad with fried tofu or chicken as optional.....   how about a vegetarian lasagna?  i'm not saying that you gotta make them all, just one lamb or chicken main course, one salad with chicken or tofu option would be fine i think.

Desserts?  oh that's all you, Dawn!  personally I love chocolate cheesecake but that's just me....
i think should have some guys who can handle their knives if you need some cutting, but that could be different kind....  but you can use any of the front office or 2nd string members for whatever you need them for....  the starters and the team manager has to focus on the game so they are relieved from this duty for now.   ehmmm...  i'm still a starter, right?  ok moving on.....

OMG, that's so funny, Omar al Karimi!   this almost make me wanna pull drgonzaga out of the broadcasting booth to just balance out the other side.  only if he wants to though, i think the right side is still great as it is also.  Plus I don't wanna miss what he has to say about the other team during the game....  uncle G may have to clam him  down a little.....

hmmmmm could this be anything to do with the Austailian jersey at all?  I know you people are the coolest on the planet and all but.....  I'm actually ok with it since the Library has lota green and gold also.  but I was thinking alone the line of the forum color scheme itself which would be silver and blue with red trims....  but maybe that's little gloomy and predictable.....

that's great that you can see it that way Dolphin!   Now if you can convince Parnell that would be even better but it seems both of you want some time off from eachother....  alright you can take the box and I'll find something for Parnell what he wants....  i will still give you a camera to take pictures whenever you can.

alright i got some work to do then.....

I played some highschool baseball also, Justinian.  Although it was a class D small Christian school formed by the Dutch Reformed Church, I played the right field and even pitched a game, a 7 inning 2 hitter shutout!  I must've had a quite an arm for a little Asian dude, hehehe...  i had a mean slider for a highschooler....   I even hit the game winning double that hit the fence for that game.  Oh it should've been a home run, it was the Michigan wind, i tell ya....Angry   So yes, i speak your language a little, myself.....Wink  so i think we can come up with a roster, even if we are little shorthanded for now, you can recruit some Cricket players?
