Members will know my stance on civilian access to firearms, particularly as it exists in the USA.
Imho, it madness, and just to bolster my argument we have this:-

Quote  AN Arizona shooting instructor was accidentally shot and killed while showing a nine-year-old girl how to use an automatic Uzi, authorities said.

Charles Vacca, 39, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, died on Monday shortly after being airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Mohave County sheriff’s officials said.

Why would anyone need to teach a nine year old to fire an Uzi-MADNESS!!!
I often wonder why I try.

No kidding. It is, in my estimation, another indicator of a society that is slowly skidding off the rails. The retreat to self interest, the stockpiling of weapons, the political gridlock, the vast disparity in wealth, the usurpation of the political agenda by lobbyists, and, most dramatically, the acceptance of shooting deaths, tells a rather unsavory story.

I agree. I've said in other threads that I think that the USA could be simply too big to govern properly, under current conditions.

When viewing the many ills affecting life in the USA, and there are many, one could easily imagine the American society crumbling in the not too distant future.
I often wonder why I try.
