If you want to start a conversation, start a conversation.  if you want to promote your book, that is okay too, as long as your suggesting it and not selling it on this site.  But understand that other people have lives and are not going to drop everything, and read something unless it really grabs them.  Why don't you summarize the idea behind your book, distill it so to speak, and give us a taste of what you want to say?  I am not sure that I would consider Hitler to be impulsive, or LBJ for that matter, or Saddam Hussein.

Having regard to another post on a different thread, this link provides us with an extract of the book, which would/could be of interest to other members.

While the link provided does result in advertising, IMHO, the book extract outweighs the advertising content, which is minor.

I would appreciate comments from other members on this issue.

It's not that I was born in Ireland,
It's the Ireland that was born in me.

I think that a posting of bibliographical information is enough, if they want to say that it is available at amazon, or Advanced Book Exchange or elsewhere, that is fine, and they can include mentions of reviews or excerpts.  If they want to reviews or excerpts, that is good too.  Posting a link to a commercial website, imo, gets too far into the commercial.  People can take the bibliographical information and look for themselves, no need to 'pimp' for amazon or elsewhere. youtube is different, as far as I know.
