With the other futbol threads up, I thought to bring this one to life (beat you to the punch UvH).

I'm looking forward to seeing if Wolfsburg can actually bring themselves back to the top three.

Of course also looking forward to Bayern going for a treble.

Last night Bayern lost their first match this season against the promoted team of Kaiserslautern.

Very good....

Their signing of Diego (who played for Bremen not too long ago) should help them in this regard. I think their offense will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Also, AE has a league in the EPL fantasy game; anyone interested in the Bundesliga Managerspiel? It functions differently from other fantasy games in that you don't earn points for players' weekly achievements, but rather you play simulated matches with other teams in your league (if you're new to the game, it automatically places you in a league with other new players). Last year they introduced "Freie Ligen", which are leagues you can form with your friends, but only one of my friends plays, so I haven't given it a try. Probably the biggest drawback is that this game is only available in German AFAIK, so non-German speakers would probably have difficulty playing it.

Going to be a tough season for them regardless ( I am happy for them and getting Diego back to the Bundesliga)

Dortmund triumphant over Bayern! Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

BVB and M05 in excellent form, everyone else looks either mediocre or downright tepid. Talk about a crazy season when two of the league's Champions League/Europa League competitors are in the relegation zone.

Screw BvB!

On a more serious note, they play beautfiul football, have a smart coach, and a young, but talented team. I'm glad they won, it taught the Bayern board a very big lesson. Defense, defense, defense!

I hope that BvB keep all their stars and go far into the CL next year, and for years to come. We need more German clubs stepping up in the CL, and going far (and winning of course).

The Bundesliga is a very competitive and exciting league, albeit a conservative, and hence why they're for the larger part in good finances, but at the same time lack the titles that Spain and England have. The desevedly are back to having 4 CL spots, and I hope they make use of it with the new Financial Fair Play rules coming into effect over the next couple of years (long time coming, too).

BvB looks good and only lost Sahin, while adding some pieces. It'll be a fight with Bayern and Schalke this year.

New season... New Kahn for Bayern ;). Can't believe Bayern didn't go for at least one more CB. Should be set in the BL just by attitude and morale alone. Jupp is a far more personable manager.
