Hello all,

I'm ploughing through the reading lists on early Greek historiography - and am reading Fowler, Von Fritz, Toye, Gould, Immarwehr, Momigliano, Marincola, West and Pearson. However, I have - tragically for an aspiring classicist - no German. As such, I can't break into a great deal of the reading lists on this topic that I've managed to accumulate.

Although my tutors outlined the theory very briefly to me, I'm finding that Jacoby's theory of the development of Greek historiography is becoming more and more important to fully comprehend if I really want to get the crux of modern scholarship (FYI I might do the Greek Historiography Masters Course at my Uni after my first degree!). Some papers (Notably Fowler and Toye) will sort of outline points in the theory that they specifically disagree with, but it's not really enough to try to construct a decent understanding of the theory.

I know that some of the great/contraversial German works on the classics (Mommsen, Fehling, FGrH, Jacoby's "Atthis" etc.) have been translated, but I have yet to find a translation of Jacoby's famous 1913 paper in the "Klio" journal - if anyone could help me with this, I would be incredibly greatful.
