I am sorry to hear that you are doing poorly.  Here I was just hoping that you were acting like a deist, oh Great One, you know, setting the ball in motion, sitting back, sipping a cool one and letting it go.

I'll probably donate in a a month or so.  If it gets close to that time, prod me and wake me up.

Thank you all
- but the doctors tell me there is no rescue from a four way cancer - only ways to keep it from spreading further - and that is what they do.
From left lounge, the cancer spread to bones, lymphs and adrenal gland, but now it is calm and is frequently checked upon.

Northman, Helge, my friend.

What can one say when a frienship becomes finite?

All we can hope for is that your road doesn't get much harder.

You are in all of our prayers.

Fight on.

Via con Dios my friend.

The friendship is not finite, just the presence of the parties in this world.
(it is part of my nature to disagree with toyomotor<grin>.
Socrates was a good soldier, he believed that one should stick to one's
post until relieved of duty.  Whether it is easy or hard depends on the
gods, not us.  The Pythagoreans believed that one should accept what the gods give
you, there is certain freedom in knowing it is not ultimately up to us.

Socrates (the Phaedo) believed in survival, but not necessarily personal survival.
More like a drop of water returning to the ocean.  Peaceful, I like that view.  But whether
it does anything for you, may be another matter.  I wouldn't push it, but offer it
as food for thought.

I hope that no matter what difficulties you have, you find yourself at peace, in the end
that is all any of us have.  I don't know you well, but I am thankful that you have played
a role in world historia, and hence my life.
Thank you,
John

Northman,

Always with you, there is a brightness in your transmissions. Thank you for creating this place and for your exemplary judgement in overseeing the activity.

Reading here feels like connecting to a friendly harbor from an isolated outpost. "This" only exists because we agree that it does.

So whether you are here at WH or at the helm of Magellan's flagship the Trinidad-
