I have run into a problem with the Gahlot dynasty in Mewar at the time when it gives way to the Sisodia dynasty. After Ratan Singh I (1302-26) who was the "last" Gahlot, comes Hamir Singh I, his grandson, who is first of the Sisodias. In my list, however, I have following Ratan, Narapati, Dinakarn, Jaskarn, Purnpala, Prithvipal, Bhuvan Singh, Bhim Singh and Jay Singh, none whose names are among the Sisodias who follow Hamir. Are these an offshoot from a brother of Hamir, or his uncle, or some other relative ruling elsewhere in Mewar? If you have the answer, I'd like to know.
