We do have a few experts on genes here - I'm not one of them.

Lately I have tried to improve my knowledge on the subject, and the best I can come up with is this example...

Take two dogs....

What kind of offspring will be the result off these two dogs as parents?

My research lead to the following conclusion:

The first dog (male) is a Bulldog, and the next one (female) is a ShihTzu.

Thus, the outcome can be nothing but B u l l s h i t.

Are you saying that Genetics is bullsh*t?
It's not that I was born in Ireland,
It's the Ireland that was born in me.

But that seems to be the fashion these days. I see many young men with their heads shaved, they remind me of Budhist Monks.

No, they weren't wearing yellow robes or chanting "Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna" either.LOL

Anyone could be proud of being descendant of Neanderthals, and Chimps as well. Good people after all. What everybody agrees today is that the shame comes from our European ancestors. Don't you thing so?

Que?

Do we have any say in the matter?

I do agree though that the Europeans have brought a lot of disgrace upon themselves, historically speaking. Or is just that their behaviour has been better recorded and remembered?

Sure. Not only the Europeans have brought disgrace upon others. Think on Mongols, for instance. I know that like any other group you can find brutes and saints, good and bad people in any society or place.
That's why in the conquest of the New World by Spaniards I better remember father Las Casas rather than Columbus, Pizarro or Cortes (all criminals of the worst kind). And my favorite conqueror is Cabeza de Vaca, who was a pathetic explorer that was even captured by natives and kept as an slave, forced to work! Just imagine that.
