After having a run in with a commenter from another site who said my grammar is atrocious, has left me wondering, is it really that awful? If so, what might i be doing wrong?

It's fine. The only thing that really sticks out is you need to learn when to use 'to' and when to use 'too'.

I'm sure I make my fair share of errors, especially due to haste and the fact I never proof read anything I've written.

My grammer is awful. I always knew it has been. Have made a semi conscious effort to clean it up over the last 6 months. Sometimes feel I might be semi dyslexic (Or lazy Wink)

I feel your pain, Panther!

Sorry, but when it comes to informal media such as discussion fora, then I don't commit much effort to grammar and punctuation, in that I don't proof read much.  So I wouldn't worry too much and anyone who criticises you for it, unless it impedes the comprehensibility of what you are trying to say, is frankly either out of rebuttals or needs to get a life.

I've noticed that I tend to miss suffixes. Too busy getting onto the next word to bother finishing the last one.

Never have two words, with the simple addition of a letter, been such a bane for an online existence! Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch... and did i mention this already...... ouch! Ouch

Et tu, Parnell? Your grammar and punctuations seems just fine. I never had a problem in understanding you.

True! Not that my feelings were hurt, quite the contrary. If i am at least understood with the least amount of posting done on my part in getting a point across, then i am more than happy with my contributions.

Again, i wish to show my appreciation with a very big thank for the supportive input.Thumbs Up

Always humbly respectful,
Panther

Panther, it Sounds like the person you were arguing with was loosing the argument and the only way to belittle you was to attack your grammar.... so, if anything it's their problem not yours. Wink

Thank you. Your probably right? Probably just a tactic of the weak. The person wasn't just insulting towards me, but everybody else taking part in the discussion who did not agree with them. But seeing that the anonymity of the internet leaves so much open to one person's interpretation, i did leave the door open for them if they wished in furthering the discussion with me. One thing is clear though and i agree with you 200%, it is their problem if they want to continue in being such a jerk wad!
