There has been a huge Iranian military operation going on in the Iraqi Kurdistan against PJAK since the 16th of July, and said to be quite brutal. Some Turkish analysts say that Iran is serious and wants to destroy all the guerilla bases in Kurdistan, especially in Qandil, the headquarter of PKK.

Even though Turkey doesn't participate actively, PKK accused Turkey of sharing strategic information with Iran and fully supporting the operation.

What do you think of the future of PKK/PJAK? Turkey gives some political, cultural and democratic rights to her citizens of Kurdish origin, but It didn't seem to help so much, the political section of PKK declared autonomy in Kurdish majority cities in Turkey just couple of weeks ago to seek more. I don't know the exact situation in Iran though.

Situation has been a little better for Kurds in Iran for many years. Some Kurds want to separate from Iran as well. The same people support two or three step process to cancel Iranian resistance. first step to push for federalism in Iran, second for autonomous status of Kurdistan and the third step independence.
