Can it really be quantified as "white?" Also, it the Pelasgians are a real people, and they came to Europe in the 4th century BCE as some historians believe, they are still 2,500-10,000 years after the known European cultures of the time.

I would certainly agree with okamido.  The studies I have done on the subject describe ancient "Aryans" as the carriers and spreaders of Indo-European languages. Many scholars believe the originial homelands of these "Aryans" was the Western Steppes and Southern Ural. See "Andronovo Culture", and also the "Maykop" culture of the Caucasus.

From these ancient locations, it is assumed, they spread out in all directions, conquering and spreading their advanced technologies. The most western branch of their expansions became the Proto-Kelts of Europe and Western Anatolia, 8,000 to 6,000 years ago. The easternmost expansions resulted in the Aryan conquest of Northern India and the Altai. See: "Tocharians". Todays nations of Armenia, ("Araman"), Iran, ("Ariana"), Uzbekistan, Tagikistan, and Afganistan all have Aryan roots.

As for the Greek peninsula and archepelago, we learn about the Minoans of Crete, with their capital at Knossos, (6,000 BCE), whos culture dominated the entire Agean region long before the arival of later Helenic tribes: Dorians, Ionians and finally Corinthinians. These continental Proto-Kelts most likely originated in the area to the north, in and around the western banks of the Black Sea. They called themselves "Helenic" and renamed their homeland "Helas" after their patron godess: "Helen".

The word "Pelasgian" appears to have very limited historical reference. At any rate, Proto-Kelts are known to have inhabited Europe at least 6,000 years ago. Often referd to as the "Cup People" (Beckervolk), by archiologists because of the practice of burying their dead with a cup precisely placed upon the belly of the subject.
