This is just a personal experience. I am in a journey of rediscovering the roots of my country. I am learning Mapudungun, the language of the largest native group of my country, that used to be the lingua franca of the country before the European invasion. It has helped me to undertand the local toponimics, and also to get a worldview based on nature, rather than Western abstract though and Semitic religions. I found this language particularly interesting, with similarities to Japanese and other non-European tongues, and with a focus in nature.
I even got a ringtone on that language, that I show here. It is a ritual song to the We Kuyen, the New Moon.
