Really enjoy Australian Senator Loyenhjelm giving entrenched feminists in government programs a hard time!  He is a liberal democrat, but obviously liberal democrat means something different in Australia then it does in America.  The message of such organizations as the women's office seems clear, as long as sexism is being promoted in the 'correct' direction, things are okay.

The main problem, for him, being that the majority of Australians ignore his outbursts. He's not taken seriously.

And as for Liberal Democrats, I doubt if he knows the meaning of the words-IMHO he's so far right that he'd wear out a pair of boots walking back to the centre.

I wonder if he is liberal as in classical liberal, Adam Smith, John Locke, etc.

I just know he gives entrenched radical feminists a hard time.  When women blame rape on "men" that is grossly inaccurate, unfair, and as far as analysis is concerned not insightful, but just polemics.  On the other hand, it may make good policy as far as fund raising and whipping up the mob is concerned.  If one worships power, then doing such things while intellectually dishonest, can get you pretty far.  As far as Loyenhjelm is concerned, he is just pointing out that the Emperor has no clothes.

This kind of ideological BS is also found commonly in the US, Canada, and Europe, especially in institutions of 'higher learning' filtering down to secondary and primary education.

I thought the Senator's "thank you for smoking speech" was quite sharp.
