The East Asian admixture in  Finns, Saami, Turks  is no joke even Pakistani are more caucasoid than them.

Many of them have partial Mongoloid traits and they also have large percentages of mongoloid paternal haplogroup DNA.  Haplogroup N is bother of O and they were once NO.   Haplogroup N reaches highest percentages in Siberian Mongoloid ethnic group where caucasian admixture reaches 0% but every Caucasian ethnic group with N always have Mongoloid admixture. And original Turks were described by Arabs during Muhmmad time ( by his companions ) as " small eyes, flat noses, red faces "

Saami: is  8-27% Mongoloid because they are Uralic and carry heavy percentages of N ( haplogroup N 50%). No surprise though, since all Uralic people of western siberia are mixture of Mongoloid and Caucasian, Saami came from western Uralic and eastern Uralic are also mixed but heavily predominatelt Mongoloid

Finns:  They are descended from western Uralic like Saami, they have 35-61% N1c but 100% Caucasian maternal DNA.  They are 6 - 15% mongoloid in DNA. They are less Caucasian

Haplogroup N reaches 97% in Ngannasan where caucasian admixture reaches 0% and the people are 100% Mongoloid,  some Ngannasan have Caucasian mtDNA at 27.5% but even than they are 98% Mongoloid.

Other groups like Nenets have 75% haplogroup N and 64% Caucasian mtDNA and are still 61-90% Mongoloid

Turkish: is 5 -25% Mongoloid because they are Turkic. Original Turks were Mongoloid like it was shown from the reconstruction and later they conquered many caucasian tribes mixed with the Caucasian indo-Europeans.  Is no surprise they that much mixed, the Turkic that conquered them were already part Mongoloid themselves. And so Turkish not only have moderate percentages of Mongoloid haplogroups but also Caucasoid haplogroups with Mongoloid admixture.

Hardly surprising when you take into account that the Mongols once controlled the largest contiguous empire that the world has ever seen, which obviously covers most of eastern Europe.

It's not that I was born in Ireland,
It's the Ireland that was born in me.

Never Finland or northern Scandinavia. Nor Northern Russia I think. So it has little or nothing to do with mongol or hun invasions. And I don´t think mongol language or turkish language is particularly close to finnish.

Yes, you're correct. The Mongols didn't invade Northern Russia or Scandinavia. Perhaps I should have said that perhaps the people that they did conquer could have carried the Mongol genes to Northern Russia, Estonia, Scandinavia and so on.Viking
