No, this is not to say I find it very predictable.
So if not why not think the more "wild" things?
New planets added to our solar system, evident signals of extraterrestrial origin, or fall of regime in one or more big country (like Russia, China, EU ).

Many hints exist to confirm that a highly intelligent life form once inhabited earth.

I would love to see science make further findings on this subject.
I often wonder why I try.

If some researchers think they can find more than those "hints" - some evidence perhaps(2016?) -they are welcome, though i have an idea I would give other fields higher priority.

I'm not suggesting that this field of endeavour should take top priority over such things as medical science, it's merely an expression of my interest.

Who knows what each day may bring?

I think that there are different kinds of intelligence, giant squids stay at the bottom of the ocean in the Pacific, as far away from man as they can get, if that is not a sign of intelligence, I don't know what is.

We (humans) assume that tool use means intelligence, some day, we will need to realize that tool use is neither necessary nor sufficient for intelligence.  But, I doubt that will happen anytime soon, let alone in 2016.  However, it is a general direction in which we should go.

I remember some program on TV seen late in 2015 about geneticists making research on claims of extraterrestrial origin of a mummy from ancient Sumer. They found evidence it was of pure human origin. The believers in an extraterrestrial origin seemed to ignore that result.

I have a friend who has a DVD with an alien autopsy on it, and in it, the "scientists" are holding the forceps wrong. (second finger and thumb is right, first finger and thumb is wrong).  I mean, if they are going to fake it, they could at least try to get the details right, not that believers would necessarily know it.

JG Ballard (rip) said that we would soon encounter alien life in outer space, and it would be a housewife from Yokohama.
