but think better of.

For me:

1. Punch slow moving walkers in the back of the head
2. Use a bacon ward to repel those infernal Muslim missionaries in full Taliban garb who plague Ealing Broadway at the weekend
3. Violently confiscate mobile phones from anti-social people who talk loudly on the train and then stamp the phones to pieces in front of them.
4. Same as three except for scum who play their sh*t music loudly for all to hear on buses and trains

In the next long weekend, wait for the hundred of thousand of cars to leave the city, and then build a wall 150 kms long around Santiago, to prevent them from comming back.

Probably a cross between fantasy and temptation really, but for me it would probably be bi@#ch slapping some ounce of sense into nearly every self important, condescending, soap box hogging, thunder stealing, ignorant tw@ts of the Hollywood snobbish star brigade that i can ever think of.

Remember it was just that attitude that got Gaius Julius Caesar killed! Turning former enemies into clients is not the practical thing to do CIX.

Within the context of this forum the limits of my outrage in the search for satisfaction would be this:

For me it's exactly the same except for nr. 2 which I haven't encountered yet. I suppose you could simply replace them with the army of idealistic beggars from  Amnesty, the Salvation Army, Wildlife foundations, Medics sans frontiers etc. who walk around the streets here with their paper forms and pens and try to approach me even when I'm demonstratively avoiding eye contact and walking in a half circle around them.

Ahh, the charity muggers.  Yes.  Was it in Die hard when Bruce willis grabbed the finger of a Guranga monk and broke it after he tried to charity mug him?

Move Sydney to Wilcannia.

(More accurately that would be move the political and economic center of NSW, with the majority of it's people, from Sydney, to Outback NSW. Where it can grow as large as it likes without taking up good farmland.)

Good thinking. No one would waste bullets on wolves if they could shoot animal rights activists instead.

And be careful, you might run into some indigenes with their indigenous weaponry.

Actually, somewhat to my surprise, on googling around I find the term seems to be used mostly in Nigeria, so maybe I picked it up during my work with Nigerian groups I've mentioned before.

Les indigènes is also a common usage in French of course, which occasionally trips me up too.

Not to worry, I was only enjoying the word play...after all the word exists in Spanish as well--indigentes and is more or less synonymous with the English term "bums"--and serves only to further fuel my distaste for these jargon coinages such as "indigenous" and "aboriginal".

Here is a photographic example from the wilds of Buenos Aires:

Interesting. I guess that may explain my uncomfortableness every time i typed in the word "indigenous". Never liked the word "aboriginal" in the first place. Suppose i'll just go back to using what had been comfortable to me when i was growing up, "Native American".

I do find sports hunters to be a bunch of cowards, if they want a thrill then they should even the odds somewhat, perhaps use a bow, or a spear instead of a firearm.

There are quite a lot of bow hunters in the US.

Shooting Rabbit I understand is quite challenging even with a gun.

But bow hunting is reasonably common here too. Probably partly because firearms law is quite restrictive but archery is off-the-shelf.

In other words those who use firearms.  Just thought I'd use someone (in)famous. He did after all blast the chest of a friend out.

Quote Shooting Rabbit I understand is quite challenging even with a gun.

Rabbit are vermin.  I am talking about those idiots who like to compensate for their lack of manhood by shooting dangerous animals like bears.  Incidentally, I came across a picture of my uncle posing with a rifle over a dead animal which was quite possibly one of the last brown bears in Iran.  I wasn't very pleased.  He claimed he shot it in self defence .  So, what?  He went out into the wilderness with a high calibre rifle to defend himself against a bear?

Here's an old Persian song pleading with the hunter to show mercy.  Recited by the Persian-Hindi band Niyaz.  And not the best translation, I should say, but you get the idea.

Vermin for precisely that reason.  They attack crops and they are numerous so we control their populations - so although some might hunt them for sport, controlling their numbers has a practical purpose beyond self gratification, shooting them with a firearm is more efficient.  Though most people I know use air rifles, which takes more skill as there is a a stronger element of stalking.

And precision.
