I always assumed you were an African American!

Your username is panther and you have a picture of a black panther. I always assumed you were African American; given your conservative views, I thought the 'black panther' facade was deliberately ironic...

Maybe I think about these things too much...

I see. Ah, Yes... my screen name i had taken from the last name of my ancestors on my father's side and having recently found out, is the "Americanized" version for the German name of Bender, or so says genealogical records. Plus, i have always had a love for big cats. Tigers being my favorite, but there is something so photogenic about black panthers, so much so that when i come across a picture of one i immediately become spellbound. Anyways, both just seemed a natural fit for my web presence.

Yeeesh... I can't count the times i have heard that being applied to me. Glad too know though that i am among excellent company! That is, of course... if my presence doesn't turn your stomach. I really try too keep it toned way down here on the forum.

This is me

Here I'm besides the nude woman... (notice the name of the magazine "El Pinguino") LOL

Nope. The real me is here, giving a conference about a distinguished Chilean science fiction writer, Sergio Meier, who was a friend of mine and that passed away a couple of years ago. He died of cancer in the beginning of his career. I give conferences about science fiction, if anyone cares.LOL

Here, in a conference at Valparaiso. From left to right: Marcelo Novoa (editor), Sergio Meier (writer), me and Rafael Cheuquelaf (musician).

pinguin, I never would have guessed you had grey hair already. Doesn't fit the caballero image at all. Smile

Still, better grey than vanishing. Unhappy

No, not at all. In fact i think having a television in the kitchen ought to be a standard practice in all households across the world Approve After all, my computer has always been a few feet from my fridge where ever i have lived.

Thanks for the photos! It is nice to be able to place a face with the person!

If I had any photos of myself, I would post them, but I don't photo often!

You understand, my sensitive job and all.

Actually the picture in the upper left hand corner, is somehow suspiciously much like me.

Regards,

Ron

From the old archives...

My "chin is not that prominent...that's my beard and the graininess, well that is simply the change in pixels. Believe it or not I now look much younger since this pic dates from 2001 but this computer does not have the in-built camera and skypes software like my labtop.

Mein Gott, Herr Doktor, you have found me an my mysterical Icon! You must be well pleased!

Perhaps you still have a place within a career as a Special Agent, as was I when I had the use of most of my abilites, which as it seems, compared to the oft double team I receive by you and Graham, I am learning more and more just how those "bad guys" always got away?

But, the truth is, that in my short career, "no one got away!" But, with me bragging about myself, does not cause any great rain to fall uppon this site, does it not?

Do you, or do you not, like the avatar found there? Even though it is not a symbol I would have ever expected to see in any profound position upon any Baptist Church I ever attended, it is still an important symbol never-the-less!

My photo is available but it must take a first class investigator to find it?

I have given all of you a lot of clues, but we will give the "Clinton" prize to the first one that sends on to this site that is me?

As a matter of fact, I will pay $20.00 to anyone who might well post one!

This a job for really well developed investigators to solve, so all of you interns, and beginners, should just "shy?" out.

Regards,
Ron

And, I have been photogrphed by modern news media in the past!

Regards,
Ron
