Welcome, all, to the Historical Amusement Subforum.  This is the place where you get to discuss all the amusing aspects of history such as the many "VS" threads that can be found in the archives.  I am King John one of the AE Moderators and the one to talk to if you have any questions, issues or concerns regarding this Subforum.  I hope you all enjoy posting here, remember to keep it civil, courteous, and respectful; and remember that this is supposed to be fun.  Enjoy.

I always have a quiet smirk to myself when I'm reminded of some forms of historical amusement, such as the Stocks, Polo (burying a peasant up to his neck and then trying to score goals with his head), Bonfire Night (Witches please apply). And of course there was always the public hanging, burning, beheading and quartering-ADMISSION-FREE.
I just wonder to myself which blood thirsty psychopath thought up these amusements.
