Portugal and Spain, for 2 weeks. I will be visiting Lisbon, Segovia, Madrid, Toledo and Cordoba. Looking forward to all the medieval buildings and castles.

Yeh there will be stuff on my website at some point.

I don't speak much Spanish, just some simple phrases. And I don't know a single word of Portugese! Tongue

Have you got a plan or can I offer some hints? For how long are you visiting Lisbon?

I am in Lisbon 3.5 days, I have a pretty good plan of all the stuff I want to see. A plan which includes a day-trip to Sintra. But of course I am open to suggestions.

Yes, since you'll probably be limited to the Lisbon area I was going to suggest a visit to Sintra, it's a must.

Most medieval places of interest, however, are in the inland and north of Portugal, but the ones in Lisbon and Sintra are not without interest - in these two places, it's the palaces and monasteries that count: Quinta da Regaleira, the Royal Palaces of Sintra, Pena, Monserrate, Queluz and Ajuda, the Belém area, etc... If you could find the time, I would reccommend the templar city of Tomar and its Castle/Convent, but it's an hour and a half drive from Lisbon.

Anyway, hope you have a great time!
