Not knowing where to eat my lunch I figure this thread is as good as any another.


In this week's news.

- The GOP is threatening to block all bills until Tax Cuts are extended (meaning - till they all have their newest members in session come next year). http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_democrats_lame_duck_politics

- The military doesn't think gays are a problem.

Tax Cuts - the Republicans want to extend them for all families and the Democrats to only those who make less than $250,000 per year. The cost to US taxpayers? The Treasury estimates the costs of making tax cuts permanent for everyone is $3.7 trillion over 10 years.

While we watch politicians quarrel hoping they make up their minds, 2 million Americans lost their financial lifeline today. Unemployment benefits were not extended.
