Sure. Writing is the same. But unlike Chinese and Japanese (they can understand many hieroglyphs of each other, but unable to pronounce them) you'll be able to pronounce what you read without knowing the meaning Big smile The good news is that there are many Arab loanwords in Persian and vice verse:
