Please post your questions on this thread and not via pm. That way we can keep track of what needs to be done as soon as possible.

One of our most popular questions recently is about access and posting abilities on this new forum. Here is a primer -

  1. Every title has distinct capabilities
  2. We cannot post directly at the main forum sections
  3. We can only post under the various sub-forums
  4. Certain sections are restricted.

It is still accessible and can be found at the top of the page under the welcoming banner, in a field of red, located in between the links for the main site and AE Magazine.

Hello; Seko will give you access to the "evidence" locker asap.

To speed you up to things:

This webpage you are on right now: www.allempires.net/forum, is stil the same forum and community as www.allempires.net. So that means your old screen name and password still work here, and you can still log in to our archived forum.

What happenned is that  we closed the www.allempires.net and opened this new forum with new software and servers up, so that we have unlimited space.

We started running out of space for the increasingly large database on allemipres.net

Cyrus however decided he didn't want to be part of this anymore and stole our content and created his own "fake" allempires forum.

But you can read more on that in the evidence sub-forum.

I'll let Seko know to grant you access.

One more question: Do you want to use this new User Name, or do you want to use your old user name .. Jagatai Khan? If so let us know so we disable or one of them.

Hello Cagatay,

There is a long history. For starters try this thread at the old forum of our move to this one.
http://allempires.net/a-new-forum_topic27362.html

Then read most any of the earlier threads in this forum's community news. Here is one: http://allempires.net/forum/staff-update_topic124110.html

Good to hear from you.

There may be a better place to ask this question and make this observation but I am not sure where else to post this.

Has this site lost its raison d'être? From my observations recently the preponderance of threads that debate in the style of the Falklands Island thread is to be frank brutally dull and uninteresting as it differs little from any other nationalistic debate that one can find anywhere else on the internet.

It's a rot that is difficult to stop when it starts. If you just ignore them they propagate basic historical falsehoods. When someone says that the British army at New Orleans included veterans of Waterloo, which was 5/6 months later, does one not have to correct it?
