Finally got to see Battle Los Angeles... great movie.. the one thing I did not understand was why the military was using old Huey helicopters. The military primarily uses the Black Hawk since the 90's.

I saw the Bram Stoker's Dracula a classic from 1992 by famous Director Francis F Coppola. The stars are as following:
Gary Oldman
Winona Ryder
Anthony Hopkins
Keanu Reeves
Dracula is a Gothic horror-romance movie: so if you are a fan of this kind then you definitely enjoy it.

No sir, Christopher Lee as Dracula with no Keanu in sight is much more palatable! The whole film probably cost less than Keanu's dressing room.

That film was pure crap. The only good thing that happened when I was watching it is when it rained and I decided to go out and enjoy it.

Also old Max Schrek outperformed Keanu (and most other modern interpretators of the bloodthirsty count) in the good old Nosferatu from 1922:

I watched God bless America.

A thoughtful and heart warming tale of pulling together to make it through tough odds, I highly recommend this film be watched by the whole family, young and old.

War of the Arrows
Great Korean movie set in a historical environment. Second Manchu invasion of Korea - 17'th century.
I know too little about the history of Korea and Manchu, and will definitely watch this again.

Foreign Film Expidition!

I decided one day to watch the old movies of Opera. My opinion on these movies is that they were rather, interesting. PS: This was Chinese opera, and it was quite entertainig to see the portrayals of long ago in opera.

1. The Empress Dowager, Gong Li as Guilin (the ONLY familiar face in the film)1989

2. Lady General Hua Mulan, Ivy Ling Po as Mulan 1964

3. Inside the Forbidden City, Ivy Ling Po as Kou Zhu  1965

I also saw a few modern movies aswell

1. Red cliff pt 1 and 2 ( Hong Kong release), Zhao Wei as princess Sun Shangxiang 2008-2009

2. Hua Mulan, Zhao Wei as  Hua Mulan 2009

3. The Warlords, Jet Li as Pang Qingyun  2007

Watched Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer recently, inspired by my current addiction to Age of Conan.
A bit corny, but not too bad, and I discovered Mako Iwamatsu, who is perhaps most familiar as a voice actor, even if people don't recognise the name.
