Ours largest animals are the puma (lion; similar and perhaps related to the American lion),  the huemul (a deer in danger of extinction), the guanaco (a savage camelid relative of llamas and the ñandú (a running bird, similar to ostriches but native to South America). You could also count the Condor, the largest flying bird worldwide.
